#1 Thing to do Before Shopping for School Supplies
It’s that time of year again. I used to love going shopping for school supplies. Something about it made me excited and hopeful. Probably the idea of a new start. I always had the feeling that anything was possible.
Anyway, whether your kids are going back to a traditional school setting or online schooling, you’re going to need some stuff for them.
Here’s how you can get everything organized.
Take inventory before you leave the house (or before you start “adding to cart” on Amazon or Staples)
It used to be that I’d buy filler paper and put it away somewhere safe, so my kid couldn’t raid it before school started. This hiding place was so safe that I forgot where it was. And then I’d have to buy more and leave it where I knew where it was.
Usually sometime around Christmas, I’d find the first stash. And decide that since we had enough in the “I know where it is” stash, I’d leave it there.
I cleaned out the area I use as my office, and found 12 packs of filler paper in different places. All unopened.
Yeah. Don’t do that. Do this instead:
1. Find all of your school supplies before you start to shop for new ones.
