3 Habits That Are Destroying Your Productivity

Do you find yourself baffled at the end of the day because you didn’t accomplish anything, yet you were BUSY all day?

You’re not alone. Unfortunately, it is most likely because you have some habits that are destroying your productivity. Being busy is not the same as being productive.

Here are three habits that you may need to change if you want to increase your productivity and get more done:

  1. Multitasking

Multitasking is a myth. Stop doing it.

I can hear you now. “But Lisa, I can focus on more than one thing at once.”

While you technically may be able to focus on and do more than one thing at a time, you are not giving each task your full attention, which often leads to mistakes. And interestingly, when switching back and forth between tasks, each task actually takes you longer than it would if you gave it your full attention until it was completed and then moved on to the next one.

2. Not following a schedule or routine

Routines and schedules make your day easier and help guide you in the right direction. When you have a clear idea of your goals and what steps you need to take next, you are able to get things done more efficiently — and usually more quickly. Think about it this way: if…
