Are you looking for some inspiration to help you get up earlier in the morning? Although there may be no real health benefits associated with early rising, the practice can benefit you in other ways.

Rising early allows you to greet the day. Being able to say “good morning” to the morning can have a profoundly positive impact on your day.

It gives you time to move slowly instead of waking up in a panic because you’re already behind. You can take the time to focus on yourself and your priorities. You can write down what you’re grateful for, do a little light reading, or work out while the rest of the world is asleep.

Rising early allows you to experience the sunrise. Waking up after sunrise every day means you miss one of nature’s most extraordinary things. Imagine sipping tea on your front porch or in front of a big window, watching as the sky slowly brightens and the day comes to life.

If you need some motivation, get up to see the sunrise just once this week. The colors and sounds may move you so much you decide to experience it every week — or even every day.

Rising early allows you to enjoy a healthy breakfast. You’ll have time to sit down for breakfast instead of wolfing down a protein bar on your way out the door — or worse, skipping breakfast…
