Clutter can be one of the biggest causes of stress in your life.

Seriously.

Think about it: do you feel anxious when you come home and see dirty dishes in the sink, laundry that needs to be done (or put away), unopened mail, or just a generally messy house?

Of course you do. And it’s difficult to feel a sense of peace and calm when you have clutter everywhere.

The definition of clutter differs for everyone, and everyone’s comfort level with it is different. But when you start to be affected negatively by your clutter, it is then a problem. And you need to deal with it.

Decluttering Benefits

Starting the decluttering process can be daunting, but there are so many benefits to living a clutter-free (or less-cluttered, if that works better for you) life.

  • You will have more time because you’re not wasting it looking for things that you can’t find.
  • You won’t feel emotionally overwhelmed by your clutter.
  • You’ll have an increased sense of calm in your home.
