End of the School Year
Welp. It’s all over next week.
I’ve never been so happy to be done with a school year…..not even when I was a high school senior with “senioritis.”
I have to hand it to my kid — he rolled with all of the unexpected changes with much more grace than I did. Sometimes it sucked for him. Sometimes it sucked for me. But we got through it, and I’m so proud of how he handled it.
I had planned to write a lot more about this school year, but instead I’m choosing to let it all go. It’s over now, and my thoughts about how things went won’t change any of what happened. It’s time to move on.
For now, I’m going to breathe a huge sigh of relief. Then I’m going to enjoy every moment of the summer break. We are doing some traveling, and we’re finally going to be able to see family that we haven’t seen for almost 2 years.
