Four Baking Tips and One Cleanup Tip
1 min readSep 25, 2020
With the holidays coming, I thought it would be a good time to give you some of my favorite baking tips and my most favorite cleaning tip.
- When making cupcakes, muffins, pancakes, or waffles, use a measuring cup to ensure they all come out the same size.
- When rolling out cookie dough, use two small dowel rods or chopsticks as a guide for your rolling pin. This will help the dough roll out to the same thickness.
- If you’re baking with molasses, honey, maple syrup, or any other sticky ingredient, spray your measuring cups or spoons with nonstick cooking spray first. They won’t stick!
- If you have dough that needs to rise, put a heating pad on low and place it under the bowl. This will help the dough heat evenly.
- To clean your microwave easily, add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to 2 cups of water in a microwave-safe bowl or glass measuring cup. Heat for 2 minutes. Take the water out and wipe down the inside of the microwave with paper towels or a clean cloth.
