Holiday Cards and the Gift of Time

In case you didn’t know, I’m a crafter. I crochet. I scrapbook. I even still make hook rugs (no, they didn’t disappear after the 70's). I also make cards, and every year I like to make my holiday cards.

Some years, I just didn’t have the time or energy, so when that happened I bought some to send out.

But even during the years when I was able to make them, I was always stressed out about it. What design was I going to use? Did I get enough adhesive so that I don’t have to run out to the store mid-crafting? Will I actually finish and get them mailed out in a timely manner?

This year, that’s all changed. I planned out all of my business work in such a way that I have all the time I need to figure out my cards and get them made — and mailed out.

At this point, I still have no idea what I’m going to do for the design, but I’m ok with that. Inspiration will strike, and I’ll be on my way. Because I gave myself the gift of time.

What gift are you giving yourself this year?
