How I Learned to Crochet

I wanted to learn to crochet my entire life. I never could find someone to teach me, though, because I’m left-handed.

I bought books, although there aren’t many, that were supposed to be for left-handed crocheters. They didn’t help. The pictures and descriptions were way too confusing.

What to do?

A few years ago, I was looking up how to do something on You Tube, and it suddenly dawned on me that I might be able to find some videos that could show me how to crochet.

Holy amazeballs. You Tube for the win.

There was a treasure trove! I couldn’t believe how many people had videos, for absolute beginners, AND THEY WERE ALL LEFT-HANDED!

I started with the basics, and I took off from there. I’ve moved on, and here are a few more of my creations:

I’m still learning, but I’m having a lot of fun. And every time I get stuck, I just go back to You Tube. I can always find what I’m looking for.
