How To Manage Your Energy
Four tips to help
We are all busy. Sometimes it seems like we’re racing along at full speed, all day, every day. But it’s not meant to be that way, and if you’re exhausted all the time, you can’t expect to be successful or productive.
Here are four tips to help manage your energy:
Learn to Let Go
You don’t need to be in control of everything.
Let me repeat that.
You don’t need to be in control of EVERYTHING.
Learn to let go of control, especially in areas that cause you pain or frustration. Instead, find ways to outsource or automate.
Create and Follow Realistic Schedules
Creating a realistic schedule is crucial if you don’t want to feel like you’re scrambling to finish your tasks or falling behind. Always schedule more time than you think you need for each job. This way, you ensure you won’t miss a deadline or a meeting.
Sticking to your realistic schedule will allow you to have more energy to get through your day. Think about it this way: If you know you have the time to get your work done correctly, you won’t need to rush to get there, and you won’t expend precious energy stressing about it.
