It Snowed!

On Tuesday, it snowed here. While snow isn’t a strange thing for most of the country, it’s a really big deal here.

It was such a big deal that virtual school was cancelled because everyone kept leaving class to go outside and see it. And take pictures. And video.

Think about that for a minute.

We had a snow day.

In the desert Southwest.

It was pretty. And it stuck for a little while. A very little while. It was all gone about 2 hours later. But, as they say, it was nice while it lasted. Mostly because I didn’t have to leave the house to get anywhere.

I already know, having been born and raised in Florida and now living in Arizona, that I wouldn’t do well where it snows. I know my limitations. It’s not the cold part; I actually don’t mind the cold. It’s the snow part. And the ice part.

I admire those of you who live with that.

For me, I’ll stay where the snowfall is the exception rather than the rule.
