One of the Many Times I Failed
I’ve mentioned this before, but one of the things that helped me get organized is failure.
Let me explain.
Every time I forgot something or something slipped through the cracks, it motivated me to find a better way. A more organized way.
Here’s a quick story about one time that I totally messed up:
I was a busy wife and mom. What mom isn’t, right?
I had a kid in elementary school. I was the primary caregiver for my mom, who had cancer and required chemotherapy. The cancer had destroyed her kidneys, so she also required dialysis 3 times a week. And lots and lots of doctor appointments.
I was working as a writer and editor for a Disney-focused blog, and I was the personal assistant to a USA-Today bestselling author.
I was room mom at school, team mom for my son’s baseball team, and I was the advancement coordinator for my son’s Boy Scout troop.
And I was training to do my first 5k and 10k’s back-to-back on consecutive days.
Believe it or not, I thought I had things pretty well in hand.
I believed that I could keep up with it all.
I was doing pretty well, actually.
