If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I have covered this topic before. Funnily enough, it is the topic that brought me my first hater on social media.

I was told that I was evil because I was promoting the idea of having children contribute to the family by doing work.

This article is not for you if you think that is a valid claim.

However, if you are on board with teaching your child, or children, that everyone in the family needs to contribute to the running of the household, this information is for you.

Before you begin, please remember that you know your kids better than anyone else. When deciding which chores to introduce them to, consider their interest, ability, and maturity level. Just because I say they can do it when they’re 5, you may realize they need to wait until they’re 7. And that’s ok. Use my list as a guideline and adjust as needed for your family.
