I had started a list of quick tips a few weeks ago. The plan was to use each tip for a blog post or podcast episode. It turns out that all of them are short, so I decided to put them together in one podcast episode.

The first one is a tip for keeping your kids’ sports gear contained. It’s a simple one, but very effective.

Use a pack-n-play or a pop-up hamper.

If you don’t have a pack-n-play anymore, you can pick up an inexpensive one at a thrift store. Inexpensive pop-up hampers can be found at Target, Walmart, or on Amazon.

Have the kids dump their gear (bats, balls, helmets, shoes, etc.) in the pack-n-play or hamper as soon as they get home from practice or games. You’ll always know where everything is, so there won’t be any last-minute running around looking for the gear.

Here’s a tip for keeping track of your recipes, especially if they’re handwritten or a collection of random things you’ve printed out over the years:

Use a binder with plastic sleeves. It will keep the recipes from getting food on them, and it will also keep them in one place so you don’t have to search for them.

Here’s a tip for cleaning and disinfecting Legos: Use your dishwasher.
