Podcast Episode 52 — Quick Stress Busters for the Holiday Season
The holidays are generally the most stressful time of year for most people. Even if you don’t usually have family drama, there is the stress of figuring out what to get for everyone, how and when you’re going to decorate, what you’re cooking or baking — and when, etc. It seems that the stress is neverending.
A couple of weeks ago I wrote about my #1 tip to deal with family stress during the holidays. Today I wanted to expand on that and give you some additional quick stress busters, which can be used any time you start to feel stressed out.
- Cuddle your pet.
- Take a walk.
- Make a cup of— and take the time to enjoy — your favorite tea.
- Take a drive. Or go sit in your car at the park if you need to!
- Do a workout.
- Put on your headphones and listen to your favorite song on repeat. Or your favorite playlist.
- Watch an episode of your favorite TV show. Or several.
- Read a chapter in a book.
- Take a bath.
- Get a pedicure.
- Hand write a letter to a loved one.
- Go get an ice cream cone.
- Meditate.
