DISCLAIMER

I am not an accountant or financial advisor. These are simply methods that I came up with that worked for me. If you have a complicated financial situation, or this information is confusing to you, I strongly urge you to consult a professional and follow their advice.

  1. Attend a Budgeting Webinar

Learning how to manage your money is a life-long process. But that doesn’t mean you have to go it alone. Attend online classes or webinars so you can make educated financial decisions.

2. Create a Birthday Category in Your Budget

It’s easy to overlook expenses like birthday gifts, cake, decorations, and parties. These expenses can really eat into your budget if you don’t plan for them. If you create a category now you’ll be able to enjoy the celebrations all year long.

3. Keep Track of Important Receipts

Some items that you purchase for work might be tax deductible, such as work clothes or uniforms, continuing education classes, or membership fees to professional organizations. Check with your tax professional so you know which receipts to keep.
