Today I want to talk about time management.

Time management is an essential skill to learn if you want to be more effective, efficient, and productive. The hard truth is, if you have not attained your goals, whether business or personal, it is likely your time management skills — or lack thereof — are the reason.

Many people think they are great at managing their time, and some are. But others, even though they understand the concept, don’t know how to make it work.

The first thing to understand about time management is that it is a choice. You choose how to run your day. Where you go. When you go. What you do. When you do it. The key is making choices that work with your schedule instead of against it.

The second thing to understand is that time management is a skill you can practice and get better at it. It means you have allocated the proper amount of time for the things that matter most.

When you first start practicing time management, there will be a lot of trial and error because we tend to overestimate what we can get done in any given period of time and, at the same time, underestimate how long each task is going to take.
