Need to protect a piece of clothing but don’t have a garment bag? You can make one with a pillowcase, scissors, and some adhesive velcro strips.

Cut a slit in the middle of the seam at the end of the pillowcase. At the open end, on the inside, attach one side of the velcro strip to each side of the pillowcase.

Slide the hanger up through the pillowcase so that the hook goes through the slit. Close the velcro at the bottom.

If you need a cover for a gown or long dress, use a body pillow pillowcase.
