Rain and Thunder

Do you like thunderstorms?

I love them. I grew up in Florida, and we used to joke about the “3:00 thunderstorm” every afternoon. It would get dark, rain hard, there would be thunder and lightning, and then by 4:00 the sun was out again. Not every single day, but enough to make it a thing we joked about.

I live in Arizona now. We don’t get a lot of rain here. Our expected rainfall year is 12 inches. For the past several years, we’ve been lucky to get 6. We do have a monsoon season every summer (and also short one in the winter), but this summer there have only been 2 storms, and they were very short, and had minimal amounts of thunder.

I really miss the rain. And thunderstorms. Don’t get me wrong — I wouldn’t want to live in a place where it rained ALL THE TIME. That would be depressing. But I would like to enjoy a thunderstorm now and then.
