If your goals are a secret, are you really making much of a commitment? Keeping your goals from others can be a direct path to failure. If you’re not accountable, there is a high probability that you will not follow through.

Here are five ways to help you be more accountable and consistent with your goals:

Blog or Vlog About It

Share your goals or progress by creating videos and posting them to YouTube. Or write articles for your blog. Or make posts on social media. It doesn’t matter which platform you choose, just get the word out there.

Tell Your Friends, Family, and Co-Workers

Let everyone know about your goals and aspirations. If they don’t know what you’re doing, they can’t offer help or encouragement. Whatever you do, don’t underestimate the power of encouragement from others.

Surround Yourself with Like-Minded People

This can be a great source of motivation. Others who are sharing your journey can help you by letting you know you are not alone when you face challenges, because they have probably encountered something similar. They are also a fantastic support system that can provide a different perspective for you along your journey.
