Spring Cleaning

Do you do it?

Growing up, I always heard about spring cleaning. It was mysterious to me, because we never did it. The house was cleaned once a week, and because we lived where there is pretty much no winter, we didn’t need to “air out” the house after a long winter and clean things that hadn’t been cleaned in a while.

I did some research, and found out that “traditional” spring cleaning includes the entire house: rugs, drapes, bedding, bookshelves, floors, ceilings.

Ceilings? Is this really a thing? I’ve heard of cleaning the baseboards, but the ceiling?

I’ve never cleaned a ceiling in my life. And we don’t have rugs or drapes. I regularly dust the bookshelves, change the sheets weekly (sometimes more often), and I vacuum and Swiffer the floors weekly. So, by definition, I’m already doing Spring cleaning on a regular basis.

I think?

I did some more research to see if there was anything I was missing, and everything I found basically concurred with the above list. There were slight alterations with each list, but that’s the gist of it.

So, I guess my question is what else I need to do.

Any ideas? Send an email to lisa@lisasealey.com and let me know!
