Summer Nights at Dairy Queen and Rediscovering Myself

One of my fondest memories of growing up is going to Dairy Queen in the summer. My dad would take me on Sunday afternoons, and we always got Dilly Bars. As I got older, I would go with my friends, and we’d hang out and laugh while we enjoyed our treats.

For many years, I didn’t go to Dairy Queen. It seemed like I was always watching my weight and felt it to be “cheating”…
