Decluttering is a hot topic. Should you go minimalist and get rid of everything that doesn’t make you happy? Or should you be more moderate in your approach and go slowly and keep some things that might not make you joyous, but you don’t want to part with? No matter which path you choose, there are benefits to decluttering. Here are a few examples of how decluttering can make your life easier:

If you have decluttered your closet, and everything in it is something you love — and fits — you can put an outfit together very quickly. No more standing in front of the closet playing the “what about this?” game. A bonus is that you know you’re going to look fabulous!

You Can Quickly Identify Items to Put on Your Shopping List

Grocery shopping becomes easier when you know what you have in your pantry or fridge. You can see what you need at a glance, so you won’t buy duplicates you don’t need. This works for other household goods and clothes too. And you’ll make fewer impulse buys when you can follow a list of what you need.
