What I’m Thankful for This Year

It’s a short list, but powerful.

Since it’s Thanksgiving today, my thoughts always turn to gratitude. Don’t get me wrong; I try to practice gratitude and appreciation year-round. But the focus seems to be in November, so I decided to write down my list.

  1. Family. I am so thankful that I could visit my family twice this year and that I will be moving closer to them in 2023. The older I get, the more critical those connections become to me. And in addition to that, I am grateful for my son and my husband and the life we have together. Is it perfect? No. But it’s damn good.
  2. My health. I could stand to lose some weight, but who couldn’t? However, my health has improved this year, and I am committed to keeping that trend going.
  3. My business. It is not bringing in the money I would like it to — yet — but I have learned so much about business and myself over the past few years that I am amazed every day at what I’m doing and how far I’ve come.

So there you have it—the big three. There is more, but for now, this is enough.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and can celebrate with family and friends, whatever that looks like for you.

See you next year.
